Here are the rules for the WOW tournament. If we have more time and there is enough interest I may pull another one out of my sleve at the event.
Damage At Deadmines
Objectives: With either your main or alt (at your discretion), unleash as much damage as you can in 30 minutes while clearing mobs in the Deadmines. The tournament participant who delivers the most damage in 30 minutes wins.
Rules:
You must be present at the LANParty to participate in the Tournament and eligible to claim the prize.
You may participate on the tournament with any World of Warcraft character you own on any server. The same character must be used through the entire competition.
The competition must be done solo (by yourself) and you can not be grouped with any other character.
The competition is intended for level 60s; however, all levels are welcome to participate. Be advised that higher levels will have a significant advantage over lower levels. If there is sufficient demand, we will try to run separate brackets for lower levels.
Damage Meter will be used to calculate and report out damage; an additional add-on under development for automated reporting.
If you die during the competition, you are just wasting competition time running back to your corpse. So die at your own discretion.
Damaged dealt by pets, both class specific and in game earned (quested, trophy, etc), will be combined and counted as part of your damage dealt.
Pet’s can be summoned and swapped during the competition at the players discretion.
Use of attribute enhancers, buffs, health / mana regenerators, etc are allowed and are at the discretion of the tournament participant.
Prior to the start of the competition, participates will stage themselves just inside the Deadmines Dungeon zone.
Any damage accumulated before the start of the competition will not be counted towards your score.
Only damage accumulated in the Deadmines Dungeon will be counted. Damaged accumulated outside the Deadmines Dungeon during the competition may result in disqualification.
The tournament will run for 30 minutes and will be initiated by the Game Tournament staff announcing the start of the tournament.
After 30 minutes, the Game Tournament Staff will notify the tournament participants that the time for the competition has expired.
The winner of the tournament will be determined by person with the highest amount of damage dealt during the competition.
Any violations of the rules or intent of the rules will result in removal from the Tournament.[B]

The internet connection to the lan party is still in the development phase and has not been tested.
We expect to have a large pipe (>>5Mbps) into the lan party... however, this connection is still unproven and experimental.
Please come to the lan party for the purpose of playing ALL games - not just WoW.
We reserve the right to limit WoW bandwidth when the WoW tourney is not in progress. We don't expect to need to do this; but if we have 300 WoW players... we might have a problem.
We cannot refund entry fees for any reason (because 100% is going to charity) - this is especially true if the internet pipe is erratic and/or laggy due to excessive use and makes WoW unplayable.
We will post an update on the internet connection as soon as we have it proven and tested. _________________ Worklog: ATTN2Detail
