 | | Austin Modders made another great showing at QuakeCon this year. Many of our most active members showed up for what I think was a great year for QuakeCon. This year was a special treat as a case modded by members Lancer and Mickey21 was on display at the event. The picture to the left is them posing with the reps from PNY. We also caused quite a stir when several of our members setup 37" or better Westinghouse monitors. Read on for more details...

What happens when you setup up 3 42" Westinghouse monitors next to 2 more 37" Westinghouse monitors? Well, besides a wall of westy brightness, you get ALOT of attention. Every few minutes, we graciously (at least tried) offered our opinions and specs about our monitors. The attention from the monitors also gave us opportunity to show off our mods. And there was plenty of people to talk to this year. QuakeCon opened the event up to more people than last year by expanding the BYOC to the whole room we were in last year. This put the vendor/tournament area in the next room giving them ample room to setup booths and a stage. The vendors we talked to all seemed to be enjoying themselves. I was a bit disappointed in the processor representation, or rather a lack there of from either AMD or Intel. My InternetServices did a pretty good job at the Quick draws and our own Tech-Daddy made it to the finals in the Bawls chugging contest. Our pals from Modders-Inc showed up again this year and it was great hanging out with them again. Here are some links to interviews and sightings of our members I have found so far:
